I've been knitting scarves with knitting needles for just over a year now and I am getting pretty good at the basic knit and pearl routine. It's not easy to learn, especially when you are teaching yourself from a magazine and YouTube. My 12 year old daughter got a Knifty Knitter for Christmas a few years ago and she never really took to it. I decided to give it a try so I followed the basic directions and in about 2 hours I had made a tiny newborn hat. No dropped stitches, no patterns to follow, no thinking required.
